Clearing Storm

This illustration is very different from my usual Science Fiction and Fantasy themes. It was created as a gift for my Father, who has always had an affinity for the sea and for seafaring. I had a difficult time sketching out my concept being very unfamiliar with ships, so I bought a detailed ship model and assembled it and photographed it as the basis for this illustration.
